THINGS YOU MUST DO/KNOW
THE FIRST TIME YOU USE SMYGB

OPENING A GAME BOY ROM
Open up SMYGB by clicking on "smygb.exe". Go to the "File" menu and then to "Open". If you put the ROM in the same folder that SMYGB is in then you should see the "gb" of the ROM. Double click on it and the game will begin to run. But if you put the ROM file in a different folder then you have to look for it in the directory when you open the program.

OPENING A GAME BOY COLOR ROM
Go to the "File" menu and then to "Open". Look for "Files of type" and choose "All files" . If you put the Game Boy Color ROM in the same folder that SMYGB is in then you should see the "gbc" of the ROM. Double click on it and the game will begin to run. But if you put the ROM file in a different folder then you have to look for it in the directory when you open the program.

THE BUTTONS
Game Boy's buttons is the direction pad, Start, Select, B, and A.  The direction pad is the arrow keys, Start is Enter, Select is Shift, B is Z, and A is X.

CHANGING THE SCREEN'S SIZE
Go to the "Size" menu and then pick the size you want.

CHANGING GAME BOYS
Go to the "Options" menu and from there choose from Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Super Game Boy, and Super Color Game Boy.

Q: All the time I open up SMYGB and choose a ROM, it performs an illegal operation.
A: When you open up SMYGB, instead of choosing a normal ROM choose "smygb.gb" (I hope you didn't delete that file). After you do this, when you choose a ROM it won't perform an illegal operation.
