THINGS YOU MUST DO/KNOW
THE FIRST TIME YOU USE NO$GMB

GETTING STARTED
Open up NO$GMB by clicking on "NO$GMB.EXE". If this is the first time you opened this emulator then close it. After you close this emulator for the first time, two folders should appear. Put your Game Boy ROMs in the "SLOT" folder. Now open up the program again and then press F12 or go to the File menu and then to "Cartridge Menu (File Name)". You should see your ROM(s) there.

SETTING THE BUTTONS
Go to the "Options" menu and then to "Controls Setup". Click here for a helpful screen shot. A little box should come up with 2 columns in it. The box should look like this. Keyboard input is automatically enabled and you can also have gamepad input enabled too.  To change whichever button you desire, all you need to do is click on the white space next to a letter then press the key you want it to be changed to.

CHANGING THE COLORS
Open up a game and press Escape. Now go to the "Utility" menu and then to "Color Schemes". Click here for a helpful screen shot. There are 4 sets of 4 colors that you can change. Click on the color you want to change then (towards the bottom) slide the bar of the color you wish to alter then let go.

BRINGING BACK THE MENU WHILE PLAYING A ROM
Press escape (Esc).

Q: How do I take screen shots?
A: Open up a game. Whenever you want to take a screen shot, press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Another screen will show when you press it. Click on "<new file>" and then type the name you want the screen shot to be and then ".gif" after it (ex: shot_1.gif). When you close NO$GMB a new folder should appear called "STUFF". In that folder is the screen shot(s) you made. The screen shots are (obviously) saved in GIF format.

Q: How do I use Game Genie or Game Shark cheats? And do you know any places where I can get some cheat codes?
A: Open up a game and press Escape. Go to the "Utility" menu and then to "Gamegenie Cheats" or "GamesharK Cheats". You should be able to figure out from here. And a good place to get some cheat codes is Game FAQs.
